FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- Police arrested one person Saturday afternoon in connection to the death of a woman and the injury of two men following a shooting in the Showgirl 1 parking lot from earlier in the morning. FWPD responded to the 2900 block of Goshen Road on reports of a shooting just before 3:30 a.m. Dispatch confirmed to WANE 15 there are three victims and one is dead. Officers initially responded to a report of an individual being shot outside of Showgirl 1 and when they arrived found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound or wounds according to the press release. Citizens were providing aid to the woman but the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Two other men were also found suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital, where they are both in serious but non-life threatening condition. At around 1:38 p.m. Saturday, Fort Wayne Homicide Detectives arrested Breshawn Lee Smith in the 10700 block of U.S. Highway 27. Smith faces charges for one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of criminal recklessness with a firearm. Smith will be held in the Allen County Jail. Detectives were assisted by the Allen County Police Department during the arrest.
