BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — One jam session is bringing the Bismarck-Mandan area together. "Playing and singing together -- it's therapeutic," says musician Faith Schwartz. The Bismarck-Mandan Music Jam took place today at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation. Local musicians came together to jam out to old tunes and learn new ones in a relaxed and welcoming setting. "We just collect songs that we like, and we play them," says Schwartz. The Music Jam has been taking place for years, and members have seen it grow as jam sessions continue. But members say it's all about community and connection. "It's just bringing creativity together," says Schwartz.
