FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Fredericksburg Police Department said it is investigating after a man was hit and killed by a truck on Saturday morning. According to the department, at about 6:20 a.m., 26-year-old Joe Anthony Palacios was walking in a travel lane in the 2800 block of Plank Road when he was hit by a truck. Responders took him to the hospital, where he died a few hours later. Police use helicopter to find, arrest carjacking suspect in Northwest DC The driver of the truck was uninjured. The driver stayed at the scene and police said there was no indication that they were under the influence. The medical examiner's office and the police department’s traffic reconstruction team are investigating.
