SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - With a powerful mission to set a new foundation for women today, the Women Who Lead Symposium, held on Saturday, honored and celebrated women across Georgia for their contributions to the marketplaces and the communities they serve.
Trailblazers, business greats, mothers, daughters and a few inspiring men attended the event that saluted women for their excellence.
"I'm excited to be honoring and saluting incredible women today, empowering incredible women to take charge of the boardroom, the classrooms and their communities, so we're excited about it.", said Robert Gould, the architect of the bold celebration and founder of the Creative Exchange Network.
Gould shined a light on more than 25 women, including State Representative Edna Jackson, who was honored at the event with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
"What I understand is women start the trajectory of life, and then they need men," said Gould. "We need to support, to be the wind behind continuing life in making this world an incredible place. So, women have a special place in my heart, and I understand that when we empower women, we empower the world."
Women Who Lead Symposium held on Saturday honored and celebrated women across the Southeast Region for their contributions to the marketplaces and the communities they serve.
The event was held at the Perry Lane Hotel and 2023 Honoree, WSAV's Tina Tyus-Shaw, served as the empowerment speaker.
