ATHENS, Ga. (WXIN) — A University of Georgia student from Fishers, Indiana, "kicked off" his weekend successfully.
An X post from ESPN's College GameDay shows Henry Silver — a Fishers native — making a field goal worth a total of $800,000 on his try.
Of that massive cash prize, $400,000 was dedicated to hurricane relief efforts. The remaining $400,000 was split between Silver and another Georgia student, according to the event's host, former Indianapolis Colt Pat McAfee.
In the video, Silver is seen celebrating with the crowd as they cheer his name. McAfee signs him a check in apparent disbelief.
"You just won $200,000," McAfee said. "You're a genius."
