Overcast skies continue this evening
Nov 16, 2024
We've been stuck in a dreary weather pattern as of late, with sunshine being hard to come by. We don't expect this to change in the coming days, unfortunately...
Look for overcast skies to persist into tonight. Temperatures will take a dip down only into the mid-40s.
For Sunday, we'll see high temperatures climb up to the upper 50s with plenty of clouds still filling the sky. A weak cold front passing through later in the day does bring us a stray shower chance from Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. Most locations will stay dry though, so no need to cancel any plans.
We'll climb up to around 60 degrees on Monday, with rain showers back in the forecast. A warm front will bring us rain during the afternoon into the evening, with more rain chances then on the way Monday night into Tuesday morning.
This is great news for the drought that is in place! Let's hope for continued improvements in the drought monitor this upcoming week.
No changes in severe drought for our area this week
Wednesday brings a stark difference in our weather pattern though, as a strong low pressure system stalls nearby. This will provide windy conditions, more chances for rain showers, and if our position relative to the low pressure system plays out just right, we may be looking at the first snowflakes of the season. Uncertainty remains quite high on the positioning of the system, so as we near mid-week, we'll continue to keep you updated with the latest. Get ready for the coldest air of the season and for perhaps our first taste of winter!
