School vehicle crashes, rolls over on I86 ramp in Bath

BATH, N.Y. (WETM) -- An Allegany County school vehicle crashed on a highway ramp in Bath on Saturday morning.
According to the Bath Volunteer Fire Department, a Chevrolet Traverse crashed on an eastbound Interstate 86 exit ramp at around 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 16. Two adults and two minors were inside the SUV, which is owned by the Andover Central School District, at the time of the crash.
Authorities say the vehicle came down the highway's off-ramp, continued across West Washington Street, went through the guide cables, went over the embankment, and rolled over during the crash.
All of the SUV's occupants were outside of the vehicle when firefighters arrived at the scene. Personnel from Bath Ambulance and AMR Advanced Life Support evaluated the occupants' injuries. Two of the individuals were taken to Guthrie Corning Hospital, and the other two refused treatment.
The fire department says the cause of the crash is currently unknown.
The Bath Volunteer Fire Department, the Bath Village Police Department, the New York State Police Department, Bath Ambulance, and AMR responded to the crash.
