LEAF recently announced it will hold Conversations: A panel discussion to explore how educators and employers can better prepare tomorrow’s workforce” on Nov. 25. This inaugural event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at Tall Oaks Resort, 9199 Chillicothe Road in Kirtland. It will feature lunch and a panel discussion of key thought leaders in Ohio’s education and workforce sectors, according to a news release. The panel discussion will be centered on the ever-changing demand of today’s workforce and will explore how educators and employers can work together to prepare today’s learners for the challenges of tomorrow. The panel will include Jerry Cirino, District 18 state senator and committee chair for Workforce & Higher Education; Stephen Dackin, director of Ohio Department of Education & Workforce; Cheryl Rice, vice chancellor for Higher Education Workforce Alignment in the Ohio Department of Higher Education; and Julie Szeltner, director of talent engagement for Team NEO. The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr. Sunil Ahuja, president of Lakeland Community College. “LEAF’s ultimate goal is to serve the community by providing services that lead to students achieving their career aspirations while supporting workforce development,” LEAF Executive Director Patricia G. Egan stated in the release.  “This Conversation will provide insight to key stakeholders in that process in an effort to strengthen the intersection of education and workforce needs.” Table sponsorship packages and individual tickets are available for purchase, and tickets must be purchased in advance by Nov. 22.
