Former Panthers player charged in Jan. 6 riot

WASHINGTON, DC – A former Carolina Panther is facing charges for his role in the January 6th riot. Leander Antwione Williams is facing charges, including misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds. According to court documents, Williams was a part of the first group of rioters that breached the Capitol. Williams played linebacker for the Panthers in 2018.
