LAPLACE — Deer hunting is temporarily closed in the Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Area due to flooding, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.Floodwaters in the area have reached 3 feet, triggering an automatic temporary closure.
