BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Dutchtown came into its first playoff game against Walker with a big disadvantage, quarterback Dylan Champagne didn't play due to a knee injury. Giving sophomore Owen Fletcher the start for the Griffins. The game started well for the Griffins as Lekedrin Harvey scored on Dutchtown's opening drive. Walker's offense fed off that momentum, with 40 seconds left in the first half, Sylve found Carleiyon Joesph in man coverage and he let him go up and get it for six, giving Walker a 14-7 lead. Football Friday Night: Zachary blows past Sam Houston, 54-35 Dutchtown coughed up the ball once again on the ensuing kickoff, and the Wildcats recovered. Walker cashed in on the turnover with just seconds left in the first half, Sylve found a wide-open Rashad Taylor for a touchdown. After a missed extra point, the Wildcats led 20-7 at the half. From there it was all Walker, as they pulled off the upset against Dutchtown, 41-27.
