Two teenagers arrested in shooting death of 19yearold in Franklin Township

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Columbus police has arrested two 17-year-old boys in connection to the shooting death of a 19-year-old man on Nov. 3 in Franklin Township.
According to a Columbus police dispatcher, officers responded to a call for a crash at approximately 3:16 p.m. on Nov. 3 near the intersection of Demorest Road and Rock Way Lane. At the scene, officers found Gene Sutton, 19, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 4 p.m.
Six hospitalized after crash on east Columbus highway ramp
Police said that Sutton was seen meeting at least two other men in the parking lot of a shopping center on the 1400 block of Demorest Road. He was shot during the meeting and then drove his pickup truck a short distance before crashing on the bridge near Bonnie Court. Authorities said the shooter and two other males were seen running into the Post Oaks apartment complex after the shooting.
Two 17-year-old boys have been arrested since with CPD announcing the arrest of the second suspect in Lima on Saturday morning. Both have been charged with murder.
