SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A man has been arrested Friday in connection to the Dunham Park Homicide Investigation. According to a press release, at approximately 1:30 pm Friday afternoon Walter Deshawn Stewart was taken into custody for charges related to the Dunham Park homicide investigation. Parolee accused of shooting man in face Walter Stewart has been charged with 1 count of Murder in the First Degree, 1 count of Attempted Murder of the First Degree and 2 counts of Aggravated Assault. He is being held on $1,000,000 cash-only bond. This case stems back to August 25th when police were called to Dunham Park that afternoon for a report of gunshots. A total of four people were shot and 29-year-old Joshua Allen was killed. According to the South Dakota Department of Corrections website, he is on active parole status for a drug charge from 2018. He also was sentenced on a charge of 'impersonation to deceive law enforcement' in April. Stewart is a Sioux Falls resident. More information is expected to be released at Monday's police briefing.
