NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Look for another chilly start to the day on Saturday as we see mid to upper 40s to the north and low to mid 50s to the south. Daytime highs will warm back into the mid 70s. Humidity creeps up a little by Sunday as temperatures warm to around 80 but it will still be a pleasant day. The big story next week will be a cold front moving across the country with much cooler weather behind it. At this point expect rain chances to increase Monday night into Tuesday as the front moves through. It's possible some moisture from the remnants of Sara could also move into the area along the front although details are still in question. Some rain will likely be heavy though Tuesday morning. Right now it looks like we see a secondary front on Wednesday that really brings in cooler weather for the end of the week. In the tropics Sara will continue to move across the Yucatan and likely dissipate into just a remnant low by the time it gets back into the southern Gulf.
