7 people plead guilty in 2022 armed robbery at Assumption Parish truck stop casino. See their jail time

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Seven people have pleaded guilty in 23rd Judicial District in connection with the 2022 armed robbery of the Cane Row Truck Stop and Casino in Assumption Parish.
According to a news release from the office of 23rd Judicial District Attorney Ricky L. Babin, prosecutions are complete.
Assumption Parish deputies were called to the business for an armed robbery on Sept. 29, 2022. They cleared the building and took people outside safely.
"Detectives learned that multiple masked subjects armed with handguns and long guns entered the business and demanded money from both patrons and employees," according to the news release. The robbers ran with a large amount of cash.

The DA's office said all suspects were identified and arrested in several jurisdictions before being brought back and booked at the Assumption Parish Detention Center. The suspects remained in jail, and all pleaded guilty between March and November of this year.
How were they sentenced?
Jonathan Lopez, 19, of Gretna, pleaded guilty to armed robbery. He was sentenced to 25 years with credit for time served.
Hector Barahona, 22, of New Orleans, pleaded guilty to armed robbery. He was sentenced to 25 years with credit for time served.
Norman Escalate-Guidel, 19, of Gretna, pleaded guilty to armed robbery. He was sentenced to 25 years with credit for time served.
Brayan Chinchilla-Pacheco, 20, of Harvey, pleaded guilty to armed robbery. He was sentenced to 25 years with credit for time served.
Roller Avila, 20, of Donaldsonville, pleaded guilty to armed robbery and was sentenced to 40 years with credit for time served. Twenty-seven years of the sentence will be served, and the other 13 years will be suspended. He'll also serve three years of supervised probation.
Jose Gordillo, 20, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery and was sentenced to 20 years with credit for time served.
Alex Castro, 19, of Gretna, pleaded guilty to theft valued at $1,000 or more but less than $5,000. They were sentenced to two years with credit for time served.
