ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Our Friday Primetime 585 Shining Star puts the spotlight on Calla McCombs, a junior at Bloomfield High School! (Provided: Primetime 585) She's been playing on the varsity volleyball team since just 8th grade. She was also named the Finger Lakes West and East Player of the Year for the past two seasons. She's led the Bombers to a perfect 21-0 record this year without losing a single set all season. This year, she's amassed 260 kills, 172 digs and 49 aces. She's also made quite the mark playing softball and basketball. She was a 2024 Class C Softball state finalist, the 2023 Finger Lakes West Girls basketball player of the year, and a 3x sectional champion in 2024 for Softball, Basketball and Volleyball. As if that wasn't enough, her accolades don't stop there. She was also named the 2024 Class C2 Volleyball Most Valuable Player and was part of the 2023 Class C1 All-Tournament Volleyball Team. All the while, she's maintained a 4.0 GPA in school - which helped earn her a spot on the National Honor Society. Impressive for sure! A big congratulations to you!
