STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) – Seven individuals were arrested in Statesboro on Friday after an initial report of suspects forcibly entering a vehicle.
Around 4:30 a.m., officers with the Statesboro Police Department responded to the entering auto call at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Georgia Avenue.
Along with Georgia Southern University Police Department officers, Statesboro PD patrolled the area believing the suspects might still be near, officials said.
Officers tried to stop and talk to two males — one with a firearm — who then ran into an apartment in the 100 block of Lanier Drive, Statesboro PD said.
