“Of The Black Sea” film screening set for Nov. 20

“Of The Black Sea,” directed by Hennie van Jaarsveld, will premiere at the Jim Santy Auditorium on Wednesday, Nov. 20, after a series of other films, kicking off at 6 p.m.The award-winning film follows Giray Dadali’s exploration of towering mountain ranges in Türkiye and the complexity of his cultural identity as both Turkic and American.There will be screenings of other Utah-made films, too. The schedule is as follows:6 p.m. – Doors open
6:20 p.m. — “Transmission” segments of Alex Lundstrom and Sander Hadley only
6:35 p.m. — “Zorro” feat Wiley Miller and Giray Dadali
6:50 p.m. — “Kindred” feat. Devin Logan and Caroline Claire
7:20-7:45 p.m. — Intermission
7:45 p.m. — “Proof” feat Colby Stevenson
8:15 p.m. — “Of The Black Sea” By Hennie Van Jaarsveld Feat. Giray Dadali
8:55 p.m. — Q&A with Hennie, Giray and Turkish Artist Pinar Birim
10 p.m. — Doors close
