A new Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers drive-thru will open Tuesday, Nov. 19 where Central, Brockton and Magnolia avenues come together in Riverside. The restaurant, at 4100 Central Ave., features a mural with Riverside imagery including Mount Rubidoux and a lemon grove as well as Cane, the chicken chain’s Labrador Retriever mascot. Based in Baton Rouge, La., Cane’s serves a short menu of chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw and Texas toast. Tuesday’s festivities will begin with a drawing to award 20 customers with free Cane’s for a year. Entries will be accepted from 7 to 8 a.m., and customers must be present for the drawing to win. The first 100 customers to purchase a Box Combo will receive a beanie and a coupon for another combo on their next visit. Later in the day there will be performances by the Riverside Poly High School Pep Squad, a live DJ and photos with Santa Clause 2-6 p.m., according to a news release. The drive-thru replaces a two-story walk-in medical center that was bulldozed last spring. Raising Cane’s hours will be 9 a.m.-3 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 9 p.m.-3:30 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. The Inland Empire’s first Raising Cane’s opened on Halloween in 2017 at 11066 Magnolia Ave. Information: raisingcanes.com
