NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said that work on Route 146A South will require a closure and new traffic pattern. Work will occur from 9 p.m. Friday to through 6 a.m. on Nov. 18. Route 146 North will be reduced to one lane of travel at Route 146A. Travel Advisory: Beginning tonight at 9 p.m. through Monday at 6 a.m., Route 146A South at Route 146 in North Smithfield will be closed for demolition associated with the reconstruction of this interchange.
