SNAP extends deadline for November severe storm, tornado victims

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) says approval has been given to individuals within specific counties who found themselves without food during November's severe weather outbreak.
According to DHS, participants who lost access to food purchased with SNAP benefits due to the result of power outages and severe storms that began on November 3, will now have until December 2, 2024 to apply.
The following counties eligible for the waiver are as follows:
Adair
Cleveland
Garvin
Lincoln
Logan
McClain
Muskogee
Oklahoma
Stephens
