LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The University of Kentucky Police Department is investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred on campus earlier this week. According to a release from the university, the incident took place during the overnight hours on Sunday, Nov. 10, near the intersection of Rose Street and Euclid Avenue. The victim reported the assault to campus police on Wednesday, Nov. 13, and stated that the suspect was unknown to them at the time of the attack. The UK Police Department has since identified a suspect and is actively investigating the incident. University officials stated that campus units are working with those involved to provide necessary resources and support.
