Nov 15, 2024
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Community Clothes Closet in Menasha is partnering with Local 5 in their “Be a Pajama Hero” campaign.
The campaign’s initiative is to gather as many brand-new pajama sets for people who are in need. Any size, from children or babies to young adults and grownups, will be accepted.

For many families, the holiday season is filled with joy and warmth. Yet, for others, basic necessities like warm sleepwear remain out of reach. A simple pair of pajamas can bring more than physical comfort—it provides a sense of care, security, and dignity for those in need.
“We are providing free clothing for people in need," Executive Director of Community Clothes Closet, Lisa Jones said, "We have a new campaign this year called be a pajama hero and we are aiming to collect 2,500 sets of pajamas for people in need in our community.”
The timeline to help the cause and donate goes from November 17 to December 3. Areas where you can donate include:
Community Clothes Closet in Menasha
WFRV in Green Bay
WFRV in Little Chute
Fox River Mall outside of Macy’s, Target and food court
“We will conduct this in house so we will ask our employees, all of us to donate to a box that we have in our lobby, but we also ask the community to come out and support it as well.” Jud Beck, WFRV’s General Manager, said.
The Community Clothes Closet supports over 11,000 low-income clients, providing clothing 100% free of charge. Local 5 is to help them in reaching their goal of getting 2,500 sets of pajamas.
“We’ll be following our results. We'll be running promos on air and online to try to get as many people to drop off pajamas as we possibly can for the community clothes closet,” Beck mentioned.
Encourage local organizations you’re involved with—Rotary Clubs, Scouts, Lions Clubs, or others—to make a collective donation.
