Want to learn about drinking water? Citizens Academy on tap

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Interested in how drinking water gets to your tap and how El Paso Water works?
EPWater is seeking citizens to take part in its third annual EPWater Citizens Academy.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 class, the water utility said.
"EPWater's Citizen Academy aims to increase understanding of water in our region through interactions and presentations from utility executives and subject-matter experts," the utility said in a news release.
The academy will also include "behind-the-scenes" tours of water facilities and infrastructure. In addition, the academy will spotlight water security.
Notification of selected participants will take place in early January. The academy is a five-session program from January to May and requires a time commitment of three hours on the last Friday of each month.
Interested individuals should email a leter of interest and resume (or general background summary) to [email protected] by Dec. 20.
