WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man died in the hospital a week after he crashed into a Metrobus in Northeast D.C. Police said that on Nov. 7, at around 1:20 p.m., a Metrobus was traveling southeast in the 300 block of Florida Avenue, when at the same time, a man on a scooter was going eastbound in the 300 block of N Street. Council holds public hearing on $800m Capital One Arena, Downtown DC project Police said that as the bus was passing N Street, the man on the scooter sped up and failed to stop at the stop sign, crashing into the side of the bus. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries on Nov. 14. The man was identified as 60-year-old Keith North, of Northeast D.C. According to MPD, North was not wearing a helmet during the crash.
