FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Nineteen people were home when a fire started in a bathroom in southwest Fresno, the Fire Department said. Fire crews say they responded to a home near Belgravia and Weller avenues around 6 a.m. When firefighters arrived they found smoke coming from the house.  Fresno Fire Fire Battalion Chief Tim Fulmer said when crews arrived all the residents were outside. Crews were able to make it inside, where they found a small fire in the bathroom. Fulmer said they found electrical cords being overloaded and on beds, and there were a lot of items inside the house so it was tough for firefighters to get in and around the home. Fire officials say nineteen people were living at the home at the time of the fire.
