What to know about Manhattan's ice rink

MANHATTAN (KSNT) - The Little Apple's ice rink is open for the holiday season.
The City of Manhattan Parks and Recreation said the ice rink will be open from now through to February next year. People wanting to hit the ice can rent skates or bring their own.
27 News caught up with some members of a Kansas State University fraternity taking advantage of the ice rink on Thursday, Nov. 14.
"We just love to have brother bonding events and a bunch of us were free," said Pete Gann with K-State's Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. "Knew the ice was open so we decided to make it out here and have a good time."
People are allowed to skate on the ice from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays along with from noon to 7 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays. The ice rink is also open from noon to 7 p.m. on all USD 383 holidays. Prices associated with the ice rink include the following:
$3.50 per person.
$3.50 skate rental.
$30 punch pass with 10 punches.
$2 hot chocolate.
$15 skate sharpening.

Skating lessons will also be available on Monday and Tuesday nights, along with Saturday mornings. People who need some practice can register using this link.
