Syracuse convicted killer’s sentencing delayed after argument with attorney in court

Syracuse, N.Y. – The scheduled sentencing of a man convicted of a Memorial Day fatal shooting was delayed Thursday after he argued with his defense attorney in the courtroom.Jauquell Flagg, 32, was found guilty of fatally shooting Demond Jones, 44, from inside a stolen Chevrolet Malibu around 10 p.m. on May 29, 2023, in the 400 block of Bellevue Avenue.
