This event comes last in the Chamber's series of networking events meant to give Chicopee businesses opportunities to grow their reach and learn from others.
Attendees enjoyed breakfast, round-robin networking style conversations, and explored the economic contributions of Westover Airport with the help of host Andy Widor.
Widor is the President of the Westover Metropolitan Development Corporation and a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. On Friday, he aimed to showcase the extensive economic activities supported by the Airport and WMDC.
"It's the perfect time of the week with Veterans Day happening earlier this week. So to be able to include these veteran-owned businesses that are here today involved and included in the region," said Widor.
Widor spoke to the airport's economic impact, telling 22News that any aircraft based at Westover Metropolitan Airport brings five to seven jobs to the region, and its reach extends beyond western mass to the larger commonwealth.
Above all, Friday's event helped connect veterans through their shared experiences, enhancing their business success with others through understanding.
