San Jacinto Valley residents saluted veterans in a Monday, Nov. 11, ceremony. On Veterans Day, guests honored those who have served their country with an event featuring speeches, music and recognitions. The city of San Jacinto and Golden Era Productions hosted the commemoration at Golden Era Golf Course near San Jacinto. Lester Fountain, chaplain of the San Jacinto American Legion, called it “a truly meaningful ceremony,” according to a news release. The event also featured remarks from Riverside attorney Virginia Blumenthal and retired Riverside County Judge Mark Johnson, a veteran who wrote the new book, “Scars and Strife.”
