LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) — Fire crews were called to the Tanury Industries building on New England Way for a fire Friday morning. Four people have been hospitalized for evaluation and are expected to be ok. No firefighters were injured during the department’s response to the site. Polishing compounds are expected to be involved in the fire according to Lincoln Fire Chief Timothy Walsh, and no other chemicals were involved. Employees of the company were sent home for the day, and there is no word on when the business will reopen. The fire is now out and its cause remains under investigation.
