NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Central Business District on Friday morning, Nov. 15. NOPD officers report that at 6:05 a.m., they were called to the scene of a shooting in the 600 block of Commerce Street.  NOPD working two scooter theft investigations Responding officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity after an autopsy is done and the family ios notified.
