Man shot, killed in Central Business District Friday morning

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a homicide in the Central Business District on Friday morning, Nov. 15.
NOPD officers report that at 6:05 a.m., they were called to the scene of a shooting in the 600 block of Commerce Street.

Responding officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officers said one person was taken in for questioning but no arrests have been made.
No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity after an autopsy is done and the family ios notified.
