HARTFORD—This holiday season, theatergoers can escape the cold with a heartwarming classic at Hartford Stage. “A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas” runs from November 23 to December 29, 2024.  Hartford Stage continues this holiday tradition of telling the story of Ebenezer Scrooge—who is played by award-winning actor Allen Gilmore. The cast also stars Erik Bloomquist as Fred, Natalie Brown as Mrs. Fezziwig, Vanessa Butler as Belle, Rebecka Jones as the Spirit of Christmas Past, Hero Marguerite as Mrs. Cratchit, Patrick O’Konis as Bob Cratchit, Mauricio Miranda as Spirit of Christmas Future, John-Andrew Morrison as Spirit of Christmas Present. But when he is visited by a ghostly old friend, Scrooge must confront his own selfish ways and discover the true meaning of Christmas,” reads Hartford Stage’s description. “Join Scrooge and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future on this journey of redemption in a mesmerizing display of theatrical magic and wonder.” The holiday classic is adapted and directed by former Hartford Stage Artistic Director Michael Wilson. The creative team and crew include Youth Coordinator Shelby Demke, Production Stage Manager Kelly Hardy, First Assistant Stage Manager Chandalae Nyswonger, Second Assistant Stage Manager Campbell Anidjar, Hope Clarke on choreography, Tony Straiges on scenic design, Zack Brown and Alejo Vietti on costume design, Robert Wierzel on lighting design, John Gromada on original music and sound design, Brittany Hartman on wig design, ZFX, Inc. on flying effects, John Fitzpatrick as music director, Johanna Morrison on dialect and voice coaching, and Jodi Stone on wig and hair coordination.
