The men's basketball team has started the year 0-3, including a 15-point loss to the University of Iowa. Their first game in the Southwestern Athletic Conference is on Jan. 4, 2025, against Texas Southern University. The women's basketball team is 0-4 this season and their next game is against the University of Colorado on Sunday, Nov. 17. Their first SWAC matchup is on Jan. 2, 2025, against Prairie View A&M University. The Lady Jaguars were picked to finish second in the conference.
