BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Two people are dead and traffic is impacted after a three vehicle crash on westbound Highway 58 in the Tehachapi area Friday morning.
The crash was reported in the area of westbound Highway 58 near Sand Canyon at about 8:02 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page.
According to the page, two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Kern County fire officials told 17 News two other patients are reported with minor and moderate injuries.
Traffic breaks are impacting westbound traffic near the Cache Creek Scale and Sand Canyon.
It is not known what led to the crash.
It has been raining in the Tehachapi area since overnight and snow was reported in the area at about 6 a.m.
