RPD: Suspects in stolen car evade officers, one fires handgun

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police are searching for two suspects connected to a stolen car and a chase involving gunfire.
According to RPD, two officers stopped a suspicious vehicle. Two males got out of the car and ran from the area — one running northbound and the other heading towards Gorsline Street.
The suspect heading towards Gorsline St. had a gun in his hand and then fired a round from it. It's not known what the suspect was shooting at, but there were no injuries. An officer moved to a safe position and more gunshots were fired.
Both suspects were unable to be found. It was eventually discovered that the vehicle, a Hyundai, was stolen out of the city on Tuesday. The area was shut down for an investigation but has since re-opened.
Officers are asking anyone with information on this incident to call 911.
