WEATHER ALERT: RED FLAG WARNING TODAY. Elevated fire risk continues. Dry weather will extend through the weekend as drought conditions worsen. Please, no outdoor burning and be careful how you discard smoking materials. Good morning! We're off to a cold start today, but the afternoon will be milder than the past couple of afternoons. Plus...the weekend looks good! Unfortunately, we continue with the very dry weather here in Southern New England. Portions of northern Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA are now in a severe drought. The combination of the very dry conditions, gusty winds and dry air today has prompted a Red Flag Warning, meaning any brush fires could spread very quickly in these conditions.
