ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A 43-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday night after police said he was hit by a car while trying to cross the street in the city. According to the Rochester Police Department, the victim, now identified as an Albion man, was trying to cross West Avenue when he was hit. Officers said the man was not in the crosswalk at the time, adding that the area is not well lit. The investigation is ongoing, and the area has since reopened to traffic.
