VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Firefighters are working to free a trapped person following a multi-vehicle collision in Visalia on Thursday afternoon. The Visalia Police Department says the collision at the intersection of Akers Street and Cypress Avenue involved three cars, trapping one of the victims inside a vehicle. Photographs provided by police show at least one vehicle overturned and blocking the southbound lane of Akers Street. Drivers were asked to avoid the area while emergency crews responded to the incident. The status of those involved in the collision is unknown at this time, but updates will be provided as they become available.
