Many opportunities for Thanksgiving dinner in Junction City

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) - Organizations in Junction City are making sure the community will have free Thanksgiving Dinner this year.
The Dorothy Bramlage Public Library in Junction City compiled a list of community organizations that are offering food this Thanksgiving season. If you are in need of a turkey and sides to cook yourself, or a meal already made, there are options for the next two weeks.

K-State banner lost for decades will soon be back at Ahearn Fieldhouse
From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 16, community members are invited to a Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway. Junction City Community Partners is planning to give away 200 free turkeys and 200 boxes of food items for a full Thanksgiving meal, while supplies last. The giveaway is at the Larry Dixon Center, 920 West Sixth Street. For more information, call 785-375-0820.
At 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, JCNaz is hosting a free Thanksgiving meal at the Church of the Nazarene, 1025 South Washington Street. For more information, call 785-762-4402.
Starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, The Magdalene Project is offering a Thanksgiving dinner to the community. The event is at Knights of Columbus located at 126 West Seventh Street. If you have questions, call 785-226-5090.
The First Presbyterian Church is offering Thanksgiving Day meals to community members who want to attend in person, or have a meal sent to their home. From 10:30-11:10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, Thanksgiving meals will be available for pick-up and delivery at 113 West Fifth Street. If you need a to-go or delivery meal, call 785-238-1191 no later than 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. From noon to 1:30 p.m., people can dine in at the First Presbyterian Church.
At 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, The Rosebuds Family is inviting people, including service members to share a Thanksgiving meal at 215 East Eighth Street. For more information, call 785-390-0381.

From 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I. "Casa de Dios" is hosting a free Thanksgiving Dinner for friends and families in the community. It is a mix between Hispanic and American food. The dinner will be served at at 424 North Jefferson Street. For pick-up or delivery options, call 757-226-4966 or 785-473-0496 between Monday, Nov. 25 and Thursday, Nov. 28.
