Basin Recreation will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bitner Ranch commuter pathway addition on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at 7215 Silver Creek Rd.The paved pathway is 2.08 miles and bridges the gap between the Silver Creek community and the existing Bitner commuter pathway, which Basin Recration said will enhance community connectivity and create safer, more accessible routes.Partnerships with Summit County Public Works and the Summit County Active Transportation Planner made the Bitner Ranch pathway possible, according to Basin Recreation. It was funded by Basin Recreation Impact Fees.
