BOONE COUNTY, Ind. — The Boone County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a man was injured in a four-vehicle crash on I-865 westbound on Thursday. According to the BCSO, deputies were dispatched around 4:32 p.m. to a westbound section of the I-865 interstate on the report of a crash. Emergency personnel provided necessary assistance on the scene. One man sustained serious bodily injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The BCSO said the drivers of the three other vehicles involved in the crash refused medical attention. The investigation of the crash remains ongoing. Per the BCSO, the office's Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (FACT) will conduct a thorough investigation due to the crash's severity.
