ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Alexandria Police Department (APD) said it arrested a man on Thursday for trying to abduct a woman at a dog park last month. At about 6 p.m. on Oct. 29, a woman was at Holmes Run Dog Park when she was grabbed from behind. APD said the woman was able to fight off 21-year-old Rohid Hakimi, who tried pulling her into a wooded area. He fled from the scene. At the time, she told police her attacker was wearing a blue sweatshirt and camouflage shorts. He was charged with attempted abduction with intent to defile and sexual battery.
