RPD: Greece man fighting for life after crashing motorcycle in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man was hospitalized Thursday evening after police said he crashed his motorcycle into a car in Rochester. The victim, identified as a 35-year-old man from Greece, was left fighting for his life.
According to police, an officer watched as the motorcyclist sped past cars using the bike lane before entering the intersection of Lyell Avenue and Glide Street where he crashed into a car trying to make a turn. This happened just before 5 p.m.
Police said the officer quickly blocked traffic to aid the victim, who was then taken to the hospital to be treated for what were described as serious injuries.

As the investigation continues, police said no charges have been filed. The area is expected to reopen shortly.
