Crews rescue two dogs from St. Rocharea fire

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans fire crews rescued two dogs while responding to a fire in the St. Roch area on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
The New Orleans Fire Department reported that firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a one-story double in the 2400 block of Music Street around 9:21 p.m.

At the scene, NOFD officials said they found the back left side of the home "heavily in flames."
NOFD officials said all residents safely exited before firefighters arrived and notified crews that two dogs were still inside the home.

According to the NOFD, no injuries were reported and the two dogs, a pit bull and a yorkie, were rescued from the home.
They said seven fire trucks carrying 21 firefighters got the fire under control around 9:33 p.m.
