KCPD: Argument leads to gunfire, homicide near Linwood and McGee

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- KCPD reports a homicide occurred today, November 14, in the 300 block of East Linwood Boulevard.
One person found dead after car fire in Kansas City
KCPD says that around 1 p.m., officers were called to the area on reports of a shooting, and were directed by several people to a nearby business. Officers then found an unresponsive man in the parking lot of that business suffering from gunshot wounds.
EMS responded, and the victim was declared dead at the scene.
KCPD also says that an adult female person of interest was immediately taken into custody for questioning. That suspect came forward with information and remained cooperative on scene until being taken into custody.
According to police, the investigation reveals that two individuals were arguing when it escalated to gunfire. The relationship between the two people is currently being investigated, and police are not looking for any other suspects at this time.
Detectives responded to the scene, gathering evidence and witness statements.
