There's a lot more going on at City Hall as Christmas celebrations begin to take shape around Honolulu Hale.  Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You We got the details on the new features as the City celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Honolulu City lights.  Mayor Rick Blangiardi and City crews coordinated the effort to install a 55-foot Cook Pine tree, to serve as the centerpiece for the 40th anniversary.  Mike Gangloff, Founder of Show Aloha Challenge and Show Aloha Land, collaborated with the City to bring his festive Christmas spectacle to City Hall.  In the back area of City Hall there was normally no lights or attractions in the past until now!  Light tunnels, Christmas trees, ornaments and more will immerse the bike path and walkways throughout the grounds, including the Show Aloha Land train rides, which will be free to the public. The iconic  55-foot Cook Pine tree was installed today with the Official opening of the Honolulu City Lights on December 7.
