One coyote, reportedly with an injured leg, was seen in the Vilas Park and the Nakoma neighborhood. Authorities are encouraging residents to haze or scare away this coyote or any others active during the day. Officials say that hazing methods include yelling, using noisemakers, or waving your arms or objects in the animals' direction. "Hazing will enforce and reinforce the fear of humans," officials with the Urban Canid Project say.
