Unique 1890s mining structures to light up Teller County

(TELLER COUNTY, Colo.) — This Holiday season, go on a scavenger hunt through Cripple Creek and Victor to see unique mining structures light up the sky in celebration.
Starting Saturday, Nov. 30, individuals will be able to enjoy self-guided tours of the 25th Annual Holiday Headframe Lighting, which involves giant ornaments decorating the night sky around Victor and Cripple Creek.
The ornaments are giant headframes that are one-of-a-kind gold rush era 1890s, remnants. Some as large as 20 feet tall will be lit on the last Saturday of November, and individuals will be able to see lights that make up a snowman, a Christmas wreath, a toy soldier, and more.
Self-guided tours are available on weekend nights weather permitting. Individuals are asked to respect private property and stay on public roads to see the ornaments. Lights will be up on mountainsides and roadways around Victor and Cripple Creek.
The lights will be available until Jan. 1.
