(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs is offering extra cheer for the holidays with an event on Saturday, Nov. 16 featuring a character stroll and a free coupon book. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Downtown Partnership will be in front of the Acacia Park playground. >>Other activities in downtown Colorado Springs for the weekend The free coupon book can be found at the Downtown Partnership table in Acacia Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. “We’re encouraging everyone to spend face time in their favorite Downtown shops this holiday season,” says Carrie Simison, Director of Marketing and Communications. “The experience of engaging with your neighbors, who just happen to be expert curators of unique gift items, is so important to the connection we seek as humans, especially during the holidays. The Springs was just voted ‘Most Neighborly’ so let’s live out that reputation Downtown.” The event will also feature a character walk featuring Santa, the Grinch, Elsa, and Anna from "Frozen," and Buddy the Elf. Guests are asked to be in line by 11:45 a.m. so that characters can start strolling at Noon.
